ReplyPosted : (Monday 3rd March 2008 ) (Anonymous Posting)now that the casino idea has been scrapped (the last thing the areaneeded)the city council will have to look for proper ways to
regenerate the area , not something designed to empty the pockets of
the residents ,why not try to attract manufacturing industry for a
change. this area has a long history of engineering manufacture
this is not the easy way but the right way and not the short term
fix the casino was.

I think its out of order that we (joe public) are going to end up paying yet again for something that isn't our doing because of the council allegedly suing the government for the loss of potential jobs due to the supercasino being scrapped.i can't get my head around why or how it can happen that the council can use OUR money to pay to sue the government for something that didn't even happen. I wonder if we could sue the council at joe publics expense for all the letdowns we have had to suffer from manchester city council!?
